Supergirl

So I've been working on a new Supergirl.

Initially, I thought I would end up with about six million different Supergirl costumes, thanks to accidentally ending up with TWO bundles of blue spandex. After a bit of mucking around and some awkward pattern pieces, I've discovered that I don't have enough to do THAT many new Supergirls.

Until I realized I could cut back on fabric by making a standard bodysuit and swapping out the skirts, thanks to the belt that would conveniently hide any seams. This means making one suit and three skirts, instead of three entire dresses, which saves a ton of time and a ton of fabric. Whoo!

So, while in the end I won't be able to open my closet and shuffle through ten zillion complete Supergirl outfits, at least I'll have a bizarre shirt that snaps to red hot pants and can be swapped out for other outfits.

Yup.

Every Fire Nation character thus far has had someone of Indian descent cast. It'd be a bit weird if Zuko, Iroh and Ozai were Indian, but Azula was a white girl, huh? ;)

We made it clear to the film crew to not treat us like fools in the final video. We told them right at the beginning. They were curious and open-minded about what cosplay was; if they dissed one group, all 3 groups would lose them.

They were pretty nice with us during filming. :) They took about 3-4 weeks longer than expected to release it, but in the end, we're all glad and thankful that they made a good job. :phew: And my name's in the credits! :w00t:
