Honestly, for all the editorial fail, and the hate he gets, he really is a friendly, upbeat guy IRL. I might not like some of the decisions he makes for the DCU, but I have absolutely nothing negative to say about his personality. He's a great guy.
Funny story behind this one: we were lamenting having not gotten to talk to him this year, and just as we were telling a swarm of photographers time was up and we're leaving so "this is the last picture," Dan Didio comes up to us all "Girls, I heard you were here again, I've been looking for you all weekend!"
How could we say no to that? More pictures it was!
Did he say anything about Cassandra Cain's future? Because he gave us squat at the panels.
Last year we met him after the Q&A and yeah he does have a nice guy personality. Too bad the company he works for brought the same free crap from last year and set up the same Un-interactive booth that makes DC fans feel like sheep. I'm bitter because the Expo wasn't worth the price of admission this year because of crowding.
Actually, I got more out of Marcus To about her than Dan. She'll be coming back in Red Robin 17 (briefly) but apparently they still don't know what they're doing with her after that. She'll have a temporary costume in RR17, too. He did also suggest that she's going to be joining the Batman, Inc. thing and I was surprised that Morrison would be writing her. I hope Marcus was right.
FX was really bad this year, but we actually talked to Dan about the booth and if they plan to do something more exciting for it next year, with, apparently, they do.
Yeah, personally, I think Dan has done some fine work over at DC, the one thing I don't like over there right now is the high body count of the superheroes.
Yeah, my biggest issue is the bodycount. Most universes don't have 650 characters to kill in seven years, let alone enough to still leave a huge living cast.
Yeah, there are lots of unused heroes that DC could have blush off and work out to make these characters great.
Like the New Blood hero Geist, they could have use his power of turning invisible in the light by having him train as a Snake-Eyes level ninja that likes to be sarcastic.

You guys all look so great though.
