So lonely looking. From what I know of Kara's backstory, she hasn't been depicted correctly. At least, not in the way I always saw her. She lost everything and unlike Superman, she actually knew the home and the ppl in it. So here she is on a strange primitive world and except for a few others..no one that would really understand what it's like to literally lose it all.
Well done pic btw....I know I made a downer of this comment..sorry
I really like how Kara's being portrayed these days, to be honest, but I definitely agree with you on those bits. I love happy/smiling/vivacious Supergirl a lot, but I feel there's a lot of loneliness in her that her cousin just doesn't have: she came to earth as a stranger and has had such a hard time fitting in and keeping a "normal" life going. It also speaks for her enormous personal strength, though –– despite that loneliness and sense of loss, she still strives to help others.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want her to be a down in the dumps "woe is me" character but she seems to let all the bad roll off of her too easily. I love her being full of life when I read the recon of her a few years ago. Mind went blank on the title, she ended up in Gotham Harbor.
Kara and the new Batgirl (Steph) have to be my fav DC heroines at the moment. They are just fun, resourceful women that can hold their own without losing any of their femininity. They need to pair up like Batman and Superman did in the comics more often
