if only i could find MY people by dangerousladies if only i could find MY people by dangerousladies
People ask me how we do flying shots.

It's simple.

We throw Jenn out of a plane.

And a big thank you to all the well-wishers from /co/.

I see the Daily Planet in the background, but don't you think it would be cooler to have done this shoot with the "skyline" of Metropolis, Illinois, that DC Comics has officially stated was the Home of Superman?
I don't know, it sounds closer to home to me.

My first choice would have been the city shots of Metropolis from Smallville, actually, but those are copyrighted shots. I thought of Metropolis, Illinois, but it wouldn't work, though -- it has a population of just over 6000. It is not nearly big enough. I needed something a) big, b) from the right angle and c) stock images.

Great, now I got a mental concept of the Superfriend's doing their own version of MTV's "Jackass".

"I'm Supergirl, and this is Plane Bail Freakout."

You have to try some superstrength tricks. Like lifting a big van with two hidraulic jacks on the side and have Supergirl casualy lean there to look at the sole of her boot or something like that.

That'd be awesome. I'd love to do shots like that; it's just finding the people who could help make it happen.

Flip the city horizontally, the lighting direction is opposite that of Supergirl.

if a person could fly horizontally, would the cape be pulled taught?

:icondangerousladies:

It'd flap around, but not that much. I'll just lie and say I was swerving to dodge a bird.

I'll probably redo this concept when I have other pictures to work with. The other shot that would have worked was just... awkward/fake looking. Much moreso than this.
